I’m pretty sure I lost the right to talk about locks.

Last week, I mouthed off repeatedly about the fact that Michigan State covering a 5.5-point spread against Nebraska was my lock of the week. I criticized Vegas. I questioned how the Spartans could receive such little love with its loaded offensive line healthy for the first time since Week 2.

What in the world suggested that the unbeaten Spartans would struggle to distance themselves from a Nebraska team that allowed a whopping 55 points to Purdue?

I even got cocky. I went around the office saying “lock of the week,” every time the subject of the game came up. I mocked people that claimed that Nebraska had a fighting chance to do something it hadn’t done since 1977.

Egg, meet face. All the eggs, meet face.

I could not have been more wrong. Even without that controversial last touchdown to Brandon Reilly, MSU still wouldn’t have covered. It was the single worst call I’ve made not because I picked the favorite, as most did. But it was the fact that I was obnoxious about it.

So with that, I’ll let you make up your own mind about the Week 11 spreads in the B1G, as according to Westgate Superbook.
