No. 3 Oregon is in big trouble. The Ducks currently find themselves down 28-0 at the beginning of the third quarter to Pac-12 South Divisional rival No. 23 Utah.

Utah is dominating Oregon on offense, defense, and special teams. Utah has outgained Oregon in total yards accounted for 242-to-122 and first downs accounted for 13-to-7.

Utah’s offense has converted 8-of-10 third-down attempts as they are finding holes in Oregon’s defense to consistently drive the ball down the field. Utah’s offense has already rushed for over 100 yards in the first half. Meanwhile, the Utes defense is containing the big plays of Oregon as well as their fast-paced tempo.

Utah’s defense forced Oregon to punt with 11-seconds left until halftime. As soon as return specialist Britain Covey received the ball, he took the ball for a 78-yard return for a touchdown. That play put Utah up 28-0 and killed the clock to send the game into halftime.

Should Oregon lose, the loss would likely knock the Ducks out of contention for the College Football Playoff. The most likely immediate beneficiaries would be Ohio State and Cincinnati who were ranked No. 4 and No. 5, respectively, on the most recent CFP rankings.
