Alabama gave up 17 points alone in the first quarter as Aggies quarterback Zach Calzada was electric. He went 13/14 with 183 yards and had a 2 touchdown pass to 1 interception ratio. His 2 TD passes were caught by Jalen Wydermeyer and Ainias Smith, respectively.
Texas A&M also rushed for one of their scores as Isaiah Spiller ran one in and is currently up to 46 yards rushing on 12 carries.
To make matters even better, the Aggies defense came up with a huge turnover in the early portions of the 2nd quarter. While Alabama was was inside the 3-yard-line, the unit came up with an interception in the end-zone as it didn’t look like Bryce Young even saw Demani Richardson.
