One of the biggest concerns for teams in the B1G and Pac-12 right now is how the decision of those two leagues to postpone the fall football season will impact recruiting. It’s a valid question, especially if the ACC, Big 12 and SEC continue to move forward with a season.

Urban Meyer obviously understands how critical recruiting is, especially in college football. And there’s no question that, if those three other conferences are able to play a season in the fall, the two Power 5 leagues that opted out will feel the effects on the recruiting trail.

Meyer said it may already be happening.

Sitting down with Gerry DiNardo for Big Ten Network’s “Urban Analysis,” the former Ohio State head coach talked about what’s going through a coach’s mind, what needs to happen in terms of recruiting and how there could be a battle between the B1G and Pac-12 against the ACC, SEC and Big 12 in the coming weeks and months.
