Wisconsin and Penn State are proof there’s more than one way to skin a cat. Or in this instance, more than one way to move the football.
Both teams have been impressive and effective to start the year. Entering Week 8, both are undefeated and ranked inside the top 10. However, the two teams have very different styles of offense.

During a segment for BTN, Urban Meyer broke down how they operate in short-yardage situations. As Meyer points out, Wisconsin utilizes a much more old-school approach in the situations. On the other hand, Penn State is a more spread style.
But what makes it interesting is the fact that both have been very effective in similar situations with different approaches. Check out all of Meyer’s breakdown, including his dissection of the two approaches, in the video from BTN:
Short-yardage situations fall under the category of "more difficult than they sound".
