What would it take for every team in the B1G to get rid of its head coach? USA TODAY’s head coach salary database was released on Thursday, providing us with some of that information.

Even coming out of a pandemic year, the buyout totals for several head coaches across the B1G is staggering. Three coaches have buyouts that exceed $20 million and at least 10 coaches have eight-figure buyouts.

Two coaches — Northwestern’s Pat Fitzgerald and Penn State’s James Franklin — were not list. It’s unclear how much those buyouts are right now.

USA TODAY’s Steve Berkowitz released the information on Thursday. Here’s a look at the buyout totals for every B1G head football coach in 2021:

  • Ryan Day, Ohio State — $28.4 million
  • Scott Frost, Nebraska — $20.4 million
  • Mel Tucker, Michigan State — $19.3 million
  • Greg Schiano, Rutgers — $19.2 million
  • Paul Chryst, Wisconsin — $19.1 million
  • Jeff Brohm, Purdue — $18.9 million
  • Kirk Ferentz, Iowa — $16.5 million
  • PJ Fleck, Minnesota — $15.8 million
  • Bret Bielema, Illinois — $15.1 million
  • Mike Locksley, Maryland — $6.1 million
  • Jim Harbaugh, Michigan — $4.4 million
