Vegas computer predicts outcome of intriguing Nebraska-Purdue showdown

Saturday’s game between Nebraska and Purdue will feature two teams playing for different goals this season.
For the Cornhuskers and Scott Frost, they can eclipse 2018’s win total with a victory against Purdue. A win would push Nebraska to 5-4 and just one game shy of a bowl berth. Though the B1G West is likely out of reach, showing improvement in Year 2 under Frost is important.
For the Boilermakers, they need a win to keep their slim bowl hopes alive. After a dramatic 2018 season saw Jeff Brohm become one of the hottest coaching names around, 2019 has been a letdown. Part of that is due to key injuries and youth, but no one is able to overlook a 2-6 record.
Ahead of the matchup, Odds Shark put out a computer prediction for the showdown. Though Nebraska is currently a three-point favorite, the computer sees a more comfortable win in-store.
It is predicting the Cornhuskers win by a score of 30-19.8:
Saturday’s kickoff is set for 12 pm EST on FOX.
