P.J. Fleck has had Jeff Brohm’s number of late, but Minnesota is in a different spot entering Week 5.

Coming out of the weekend, the Gophers are searching for all kinds of answers after a shocking defeat at the hands of Bowling Green. One of the worst teams in FBS in recent seasons, Bowling Green dialed up an incredible performance in Minneapolis.

On the other hand, Purdue was far from impressive in a narrow win over Illinois. But with wins over the Illini and Oregon State and a tight loss to a ranked Notre Dame squad, the Boilermakers are given a slight edge by Vegas in Week 5.

According to DraftKings, Purdue opens as -2.5 favorites against Minnesota at home. That would still be an incredibly close game in a series that has been all Gophers lately.

Brohm and Fleck both took over their respective programs prior to 2017 with Fleck posting a 3-1 record in the head-to-head matchup. That includes 3 straight wins from Minnesota since 2018 with a 34-31 win in Minneapolis last season.
