Vegas updates Heisman odds following Week 7
Nobody is making up ground on Tua Tagovailoa.
On Sunday, Las Vegas SuperBook released the updates odds for the Heisman Trophy race and the Alabama quarterback is still a heavy favorite. Tagovailoa has 5/9 odds, well ahead of second-place candidates Dwayne Haskins (Ohio State) and Kyler Murray (Oklahoma).
Haskins and Murray have been pegged with 5/2 odds to bring home the sport’s most prestigious trophy.
New Heisman odds via @SuperBookUSA. Tua remains massive favorite, Haskins & Murray now tied as 2nd choice:
Tagovailoa 5/9
Haskins, Murray 5/2
Grier 12/1
Milton 20/1
McSorley, Taylor 40/1
Etienne 50/1
Herbert, Snell 60/1
Dillon, Lawrence, Love, T. Williams 100/1— Brett McMurphy (@Brett_McMurphy) October 14, 2018
There are two other B1G names still in the mix, Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley and Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor, both with 40/1 odds.
Haskins was the only B1G player in the race to win on Saturday, as Ohio State knocked off Minnesota 30-14. He threw for 412 yards and three touchdowns while completing 33-of-44 passes.
McSorley was 19-of-32 for 192 yards and a touchdown but Penn State fell short against Michigan State, losing 21-17. Jonathan Taylor rushed for 101 yards in Wisconsin’s blowout loss to Michigan.
It’s only the halfway point of the season, but it’s seems we’ve got a three-man race on our hands.
