The ending of the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl will go down as one of the funniest in recent memory.

Just as Nevada was about to win the game, head coach Jay Norvell got a victory french fry bath from some of his players. Right after the fries came out, a couple of other players gave him a full-on Gatorade bath and you can see both here:

After that happened, Nevada was actually assessed a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty since the fries got onto the field of play.

Here’s another view of the fries being poured onto Norvell, followed by the Gatorade bath:

For the game itself, Nevada won comfortably, 38-27 to finish 7-2 on the season. Tulane was able to get a garbage-time touchdown in the waning seconds of the game.

Wolf Pack quarterback Carson Strong was perhaps the biggest reason why Nevada won. He threw for 271 yards on 22-for-28 passing with five touchdown passes. Running back Toa Taua was also a rock for Nevada as he had 20 rushes for 102 yards and a touchdown.
