The Big Ten’s leading wide receiver does not play for Ohio State or Michigan. He doesn’t play for a ranked team; he doesn’t even play for a team with a winning record.

He plays for Northwestern. And he’s one bad dude.

Senior wideout Austin Carr ranks 1st in the conference in the following categories: receptions (32), yards (465) and touchdowns (six). What’s even more impressive is that the Wildcats, who are 2-3, have only played five games so far this year.

Carr has been one of the lone bright spots for an offense that currently sits at No. 12 in the league with 350.4 yards per game, and hopefully his breakout performance can begin to elevate some of the players around him for a bowl push the second half of the season.
