Washington quarterback Will Rogers is having a strong season in 2024. The QB has thrown for 2,284 yards with 13 touchdowns and 4 interceptions through 9 games with the Huskies.

Rogers has led the Huskies to a 5-4 record so far, meaning the team needs just 1 more win to become bowl-eligible. With so many players opting out of bowl games recently, Rogers was asked if he would play in a hypothetical bowl game with the Huskies.

“Yeah for sure. I’ll be there. It’s not really how I was raised….I’m not the type of guy to bail on my teammates with one game left,” said the QB.

Rogers is in his 1st season with the Huskies after spending the 1st 4 seasons of his college career at Mississippi State. The talented QB holds several school records at Mississippi State, including the passing touchdowns and passing yards records. Rogers played in 2 bowl games during his time at Mississippi State.

With the expanded College Football Playoff, it’s expected that even more players will opt out of non-Playoff bowl games. Rogers will not be among the opt-outs, however, as the QB seems dedicated to seeing his Washington tenure through.

The Huskies could secure bowl eligibility in Week 11 as the team travels to Penn State. UCLA and Oregon are the other remaining opponents on the Huskies’ schedule.
