There’s heartbreak in Chicago.

Sunday evening, the Chicago Bears were playing in their first NFL Playoff game since 2010 after finishing the season 12-4. But Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round didn’t go as planned.

With :10 remaining, the Bears trailed the Eagles 16-15 and sent kicker Cody Parkey onto the field with a chance to win the game. Parkey’s kick sailed to the left and bounced off the crossbar, sealing the win for the Eagles.

It’s one of the most devastating ways to lose a football game.

Parkey is going to receive plenty of backlash for missing that field goal attempt, but the Bears kicker actually put his team in position to win the game. He converted on three-of-four field goal attempts in the game, accounting for Chicago’s first nine points.

Still, that won’t be what Bears fans focus on Sunday night, or the rest of the offseason.
