First, Kyler Murray was the talk of New York City on Saturday, winning the Heisman Trophy. Shortly after that, boxing star Teofimo Lopez stole the show by delivering a knockout punch in the same city.
We can agree that those are two very different things. So why are they sharing a story? Well, following Lopez’s quick knockout blow, the boxing star put on Murray’s Oklahoma jersey and struck the Heisman pose.
Lopez delivered the knockout punch to Mason Menard just 44 seconds into the fight. He was quick to strike the Heisman pose and throw on a Sooners jersey to celebrate his — and Murray’s — victory.
Here are the images — including the video of the knockout punch — from Saturday night:

It was a good night to be a Sooner in New York City.
