WATCH: Clemson's Tee Higgins makes spectacular TD catch in Cotton Bowl
Everything went Clemson’s way in the first half.
The Tigers held a 23-3 lead over Notre Dame at halftime of the Cotton Bowl, thanks to three huge pass plays. There were two long touchdown passes from Trevor Lawrence to Justyn Ross and a remarkable catch made by wide receiver Tee Higgins.
It was easily the highlight of the first half.
With just :09 remaining in the first half, Lawrence fired a pass into the end zone in the direction of Higgins. With a Notre Dame defender draped over him, Higgins tipped the pass, stuck with the football and hauled it in for the score.
The play was reviewed but the ruling was upheld. It was a play that you have to see to believe.
