The four-team vs. eight-team playoff debate continues. This time, FOX Sports radio host Colin Cowherd chimed in.

Earlier this week, college football analyst Joel Klatt said that the College Football Playoff field could be expanding within the next five years. Based on sources Klatt called “brokers” in the sport, he believes we’ll see an eight-team format sometime soon.

Cowherd isn’t a fan of that idea. At all.

During his show on Wednesday, Cowherd explained why expanding the playoff would be a bad idea, primarily because the quality of the field would decrease significantly.

“Have you ever been to a nice restaurant,” Cowherd began. “Is it a great restaurant because it’s a buffet? Because they just keep piling food on? Or is it a great restaurant because the food is really great?”

“Stop with the ‘more’ argument. Give me better.”

Cowherd also said he doesn’t need to see Michigan play again, doesn’t care to have UCF in the mix and argued that the SEC Championship Game would be completely pointless.
