A popular FOX Sports radio host is buying into the B1G for the 2017 season.

Colin Cowherd recently ranked his top 10 college football teams for the upcoming season. Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin all found their way into the mix.

The teams were ranked based on where Cowherd believed each team would finish at the end of the regular season. He also said he looks at three things while ranking teams: returning starters, head coach, quarterback and schedule from October through November.

Here’s how Cowherd ranked the top 10

  • No. 10 Wisconsin
  • No. 9 Louisville
  • No. 8 Penn State
  • No. 7 Clemson
  • No. 6 Oklahoma
  • No. 5 Washington
  • No. 4 Alabama
  • No. 3 USC
  • No. 2 FSU
  • No. 1 Ohio State

The B1G and ACC each had three teams in Cowherd’s top 10, tying for the most for a conference. The mighty SEC had just one representative, Alabama.

Cowherd also had this to say about ranking the Buckeyes No. 1

“J.T. Barrett, 26-4 as a starter. Urban Meyer is the best in-game coach…Yes, they looked awful against Clemson. That’ll be a motivator. They’ve made some coaching tweaks. I think Ohio State wins the national championship.”
