Colin Cowherd hasn’t been a huge fan of Baker Mayfield. Joel Klatt is just the opposite.

Ever since Mayfield’s final season at Oklahoma last year, Cowherd has been extremely critical of the Browns’ quarterback, going so low as to say he didn’t like the way Mayfield celebrated after a touchdown. Yeah, it’s been that petty at times.

But Klatt had the opportunity to stand up for Mayfield. During The Herd, Klatt Joined Cowherd to talk about college football. But before they could dive into any discussion, Klatt ran out sporting Mayfield’s Cleveland jersey and calling out Cowherd for the criticism.

Klatt said it’s the first time he’s worn a jersey that doesn’t have his name on the back.

Mayfield has led Cleveland to a 2-2-1 record to start the NFL season, which is an incredible feat considering the Browns had one win in the previous two seasons.

The numbers for Mayfield have been modest, throwing for 838 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions, but he’s racked up two wins in five games. In Cleveland, that’s more than enough.

Credit to Klatt for supporting the former Heisman Trophy winner.
