The phrase “third-and-long” just got a whole new meaning.

On Saturday night, Louisiana Tech was driving late in the game against Mississippi State, hoping to add a few points to their total before the game ended. But things went wrong. Really, really wrong.

Rather than punch it in from seven yards out, Louisiana Tech fumbled and faced a third-and-93.

Wait, what? Yep, it was a real thing. And here’s the video evidence to prove it:

No matter how poorly your team played on Saturday, at least they didn’t face a third-and-93 in a real life football game.

That might be the most embarrassing thing this young season has seen.
