WATCH: Mike Gundy had the most epic rant about Twitter
It’s been over a decade since Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy had his epic “I’m a man, I’m 40,” rant. Don’t worry, folks, he’s got plenty more in the arsenal.
After the Cowboys’ upset win over Texas on Saturday night, Gundy was in rare form.
Gundy was asked about the media criticism facing quarterback Taylor Cornelius prior to Oklahoma State’s win over the Longhorn. When the OSU head coach asked where the criticism was coming from, the reporter mentioned radio, Twitter and other outlets. That’s when Gundy had an epic outburst.

“I don’t give a rat’s ass about Twitter,” Gundy said. “It’s a platform for people that are sitting at home drawing an unemployment check sitting in front of a keyboard.
“Trust me, I get it in my own house, but I just kind of felt like social media, Twitter’s what destroying this country anyway, so that’s how I feel about it. From politics to sports to whatever. It gives people a platform to bitch and then other people are, like needing it, and they’re sitting at home and they’re late on a payment. So that’s how it feels.”

Admittedly, the outburst wasn’t nearly as good as the tirade that made Gundy famous, but it was still a pretty epic rant.
Cornelius proved a lot of the critics wrong on Saturday night, too. The Cowboys gunslinger threw for 321 yards and three touchdowns while completing 23-of-34 passes. He also rushed for 23 yards and two scores on 12 carries. He didn’t throw an interception.
That’s a pretty good reason to not pay attention to Twitter.
