By now, college football fans are familiar with the musings of Mike Leach. The Washington State head coach isn’t afraid to say whatever he wants, whenever he wants.
For people in the media (like myself), it presents an opportunity to talk about things outside of football on a regular basis. Even something like the difference between cargo shorts and nylon shorts.
Leach, apparently is a huge fan of the cargo look, primarily for the pockets. Nylon, however, is a different story. While that fashion is popular because of its comfort, Leach doesn’t quite understand it.
Here’s why (try not to spit out your beverage while listening to this):
Mike Leach wears cargos as religiously as Jim Harbaugh wears khakis & you’ll never see the #WSU coach in nylon shorts.
“I don’t understand those. You jog around & your stuff flaps all over the place. I’ve never liked those.”

Football is back, folks. That means we’ll hear plenty more from Leach on topics unrelated to the sport. That, alone, will keep us entertained for the next four months.
