All offseason, Nick Saban was asked about the quarterback battle between Tua Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts. And all offseason, the Alabama head coach kept providing the same answer.
“I like both guys. I think both guys help our team.”
Saban has been using some variation of that quote since Tagovailoa came in during the second half of the national championship game against Georgia in January. And, believe it or not, he was asked about it again after the Crimson Tide clobbered Louisville 51-14 in Orlando.
Following the win, ESPN’s Maria Taylor asked Saban about the performances from both quarterbacks, and he wasn’t having any of it:
Nick Saban just won a game 51-14.
Still pissed off.

It’s only the first game of the season but Saban has already provided some all-time moments.
Reporters be warned: if you ask Saban about Alabama’s quarterback situation again, you may experience the same backlash.
