WATCH: Penn State fan attempts marriage proposal on College GameDay
If you’re a fan of big gestures than today’s version of ESPN’s College GameDay must have had you on the edge of your seat.
It’s always a risk to propose in public. You run the risk of being rejected in front of hundreds, if not thousands of people — if you were at a baseball game, let’s say. It’s even more of a risk to propose in public when you know that you’re on national television and featured on arguably one of the most popular shows of the week.

That’s exactly the risk that Penn State fan Tony took this weekend as he hung out in the “white out” crowd watching College GameDay. He took the chance and took a knee, proposing to his girlfriend Vanessa in front of the crowd and the College GameDay cameras.
Of course, the assumption here is that Vanessa is indeed his girlfriend and not some random lady he just met, but you never do know when tailgating is involved.
The result of said proposal is below:

Thankfully, everything seems to have worked out for Tony and Vanessa, but it’s hard to not notice the ominous sign this clip ends with.
Here’s to wishing these two the best.
