WATCH: Penn State players jam with the band at Nittanyville
Saturday evening’s contest between No. 4 Ohio State and No. 9 Penn State is a huge one, especially in regard to how the Big Ten East shakes out. The Big Ten East may very well boast the eventual Big Ten Champion, and that champion has a great chance of making it to the College Football Playoff.
So yes, this is a huge game between the Nittany Lions and Buckeyes.
Penn State is definitely the underdog, per the ranking, though it’s going to be hard for OSU to walk out of Happy Valley with a win. Not only does PSU boast the top scoring offense in the nation, but Penn State has arguably the best home field advantage in college football — especially for a night game.
The Buckeyes are used to playing in big games, and so are the Nittany Lions. Could Penn State’s fans make the difference in this game, though?
At the very least, Penn State’s campus is already fired up. It’s not even Friday yet and PSU’s tent city “Nittanyville” is already rocking.
Literally.

The atmosphere at Penn State is already electric and we’re not even at game day yet. Penn State fans know how big this game is for their squad and for their school.
The program had fallen hard, but James Franklin has brought the Nittany Lions back to the pinnacle of Big Ten football, and a win against Ohio State in this spot would prove that PSU is here to stay.
