WATCH: Tulane presents walk-on with awesome reward after overcoming injury
Tulane has already rewarded us with one of those incredible college football moments.
Last week, at Tulane’s annual “Let’s Talk Football” event, walk-on wide receiver Brian Newman was surprised by the coaching staff and rewarded with a scholarship for his effort and hard work during the offseason. As you can imagine, things got pretty emotional at the event.

After learning of his scholarship, Newman made a phone call to his father to inform him of the good news. And just a warning, you may need a box of tissues.
That moment when you call your dad to tell him you’ve been awarded a scholarship for your senior year:
Congrats again, @B_Newman17! You deserve this.#RollWave pic.twitter.com/6e2qoc20n9

That’s incredible stuff.
Newman suffered a season-ending injury last year but made a full recovery and impressed his teammates and coaches during workouts this offseason.
Tulane rewarded the hard-working receiver pretty nicely.
