It’s always great to see former B1G stars do well in the NFL. It’s even better when a few of them team up to make a momentum-changing play.

Saturday night, a pair of former B1G players teamed up it Pittsburgh’s preseason game against Kansas City. Late in the fourth quarter, former Indiana linebacker Tegray Scales and Penn State defensive back Marcus Allen teamed up to make a game-sealing play late in the fourth quarter.

With the Steelers owning a 17-7 lead with 2 minutes to play in the fourth quarter, Allen was on the spot with other Pittsburgh defenders following a Kansas City reception, helping jar the ball loose. Scales was there with the recovery, locking up the victory for the Steelers.

Here’s a look at how it all went down:

Allen finished the night with five total tackles, including three solo stops. Scales had the fumble recovery and also registered one stop.

Pittsburgh improved to 2-0 in the preseason with the 17-7 victory over Kansas City.
