WATCH: UAB scores 70-yard bomb on first play from scrimmage in Boca Raton Bowl

If this play is any indication, Tuesday’s Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl is set to be a high-scoring affair!
UAB and Northern Illinois are squaring off in the bowl game after a strong season for each school. And it didn’t take long for the scoring to begin with UAB scoring on its first play from scrimmage.
Not wasting any time, the Blazers dialed up a deep bomb on the first play of the game. Quarterback Tyler Johnston III dropped back and unleashed a beautiful throw. WR Xavier Ubosi beat his man one-on-one down the field and hauled in the pass.
Once he made the catch, no one stood a chance of bringing him down. Conference USA shared the video of the Johnston-Ubosi touchdown:
