As it continued its path north, another game has moved to try and avoid Ian’s impact. It was announced on Friday that the UCF game vs. SMU was officially moved to Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET due to conditions created by Hurricane Ian.

This is the second time the matchup was moved in as many days. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon, but was then postponed to Sunday before the storm rolled through Florida. The game has since been moved to Wednesday due to flooding and other environmental impacts in UCF’s home in Orlando.
Both UCF and SMU have byes in Week 6, allowing for the extension of the Week 5 game to Wednesday. The Knights and Mustangs will kick off at 7 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN2.
