At this point, it may be easier for the B1G to name the teams that are not ranked in the top 25.

When the latest AP Poll was released on Monday, the conference landed an incredible nine teams on the poll. In case you have forgotten, the conference has a total of 14 teams.

It will come as no surprise that the B1G leads all conferences in the AP Poll with those nine teams. FOX also indicated the B1G is only the second conference ever to land that many teams on the AP Top 25:

Here is where the B1G teams are ranked:

  • No. 6 – Wisconsin
  • No. 10 – Iowa
  • No. 14 – Rutgers
  • No. 15 – Illinois
  • No. 16 – Michigan
  • No. 17 – Michigan State
  • No. 19 – Northwestern
  • No. 21 – Minnesota
  • No. 25 – Ohio State

Early indications from Monday’s action is that there will be an even greater shakeup next week. Maryland upset No. 6 Wisconsin to start the evening while Minnesota is blowing out Michigan State in primetime.

At this point, it will be interesting to see how many losses the conference champion finishes with. The balance from top-to-bottom in the B1G remains impressive early on this season.
