Week 9 Associated Press Poll released
We saw it again.
Five more Top 25 teams lost to unranked opponents this season, which is actually tied for the lowest total for a single week in 2021. In case you were wondering just how crazy this fall has been for the sport.
Two of those upsets came in the B1G, with No. 7 Penn State falling to Illinois and No. 25 Purdue dropping a home game to Wisconsin. No. 14 Coastal Carolina, No. 8 Oklahoma State and No. 18 NC State all lost as well.
No. 2 Cincinnati and No. 3 Oklahoma both survived serious scares.
With more teams falling over the weekend, we’re seeing some major changes in the polls again. Here’s a look at the Associated Press Poll as we hit Week 9:
