I’m not saying I’m shocked, but I’m a little surprised.

I didn’t think we’d see Michigan State as a 13.5-point underdog at Ohio State. If you would’ve said in August that these two teams would both still be competing for a B1G East crown without any major injuries, I wouldn’t have guessed the spread would’ve been seven points or less.

Surely Connor Cook’s shoulder has something to do with it. If he came in to Saturday healthy, maybe we’d be looking at a 7-point spread. We’ll never know. What will be interesting is whether or not we see significant movement in that line if reports from MSU practice are all positive about Cook’s shoulder.

But for now, it’s one more thing that Mark Dantonio could use to illustrate the “disrespect” his team continuously gets when its paired with Michigan and Ohio State. It worked against Michigan. Will it work against Ohio State?

Only time will tell.
