Perhaps it was only fitting.

Three B1G players that are in for a slew of of postseason accolades made loud, regular-season finale statements. All three had already earned spots in the B1G weekly award winners before, and did so one more time.

Here’s who the conference selected for its Week 13 award winners:

B1G Co-Offensive Player of the Week: Nate Sudfeld, Indiana QB

B1G Co-Offensive Player of the Week: Ezekiel Elliott, Ohio State RB

B1G Defensive Player of the Week: Anthony Walker, Northwestern LB

B1G Special Teams Player of the Week: Drew Meyer, Wisconsin P

B1G Freshman of the Week: Parker Hesse, Iowa DE

Sudfeld has been as good as any quarterback in the country over the last two weeks. That’s why for the second straight week, he earned the B1G Offensive Player of the Week honor. The IU signal-caller led the Hoosiers to a pair of must-win road victories without the injured Jordan Howard. His four touchdown passes gave him the program’s all-time record and his 350 yards passing made him the first IU quarterback to record six 300-yard games.

Also moving himself into historic company was Elliott, who moved past Eddie George for second on Ohio State’s all-time rushing list. The Buckeye back tied a school record with his fifth career 200-yard rushing game in leading OSU to a blowout win in Ann Arbor. Elliott finished the regular season ranked fourth in the country in rushing.

On the defensive side, Walker delivered another standout effort in a Northwestern win. The Wildcat linebacker racked up 14 tackles, 3.5 of which were for a loss, in a 24-14 victory against Illinois. He finished the season 19.5 tackles for loss, which was good for third in Northwestern history. It marked the third time this year he took home a weekly B1G Defensive Player of the Week honor.

Meyer was also a repeat winner. The senior set a Wisconsin record with an average of 41 yards in seven punts on Saturday in a win against Minnesota. He had two 50-plus yard punts in the fourth quarter, and dropped three inside the Minnesota 20-yard line to keep the Gophers at a distance late.

Filling in for the injured Drew Ott, Hesse delivered another big performance for the Hawkeye defense. He tipped Tommy Armstrong’s pass to himself and notched his first career pick six. The Hawkeye freshman helped hold the Huskers to their worst offensive output at Memorial Stadium in two years. He’ll look to deliver another stout effort for Iowa against a rolling Michigan State team in the B1G Championship on Saturday.
