Maybe it’s a good thing.

After the week that was in the B1G, maybe a few care-free, blowouts would be better on our short-term and long-term health. Lord knows we can’t expect another Scoop-and-Score or another 25-point comeback this Saturday. After all, the smallest spread for Week 8 is 6.5 points.

But it’s worth noting that the Michigan State-Michigan spread was 7.5. So who’s to say we can’t have another 10-second miracle?

It’s worth noting that this is the first time IU has had a spread by Wednesday since Jordan Howard and Nate Sudfeld got hurt against Ohio State two-and-a-half weeks ago. If Howard is active, you can expect that spread to come down a couple points.

Here’s how the Week 8 B1G point spreads look on Wednesday, as according to the Westgate Superbook:

Northwestern vs. Nebraska (-7.5)

Wisconsin (-6.5) vs. Illinois

Indiana vs. Michigan State (-16.5)

Penn State (-6.5) vs. Maryland

Ohio State (-21.5) vs. Rutgers
