Welcome back! Environment at Virginia Tech's Lane Stadium is absolutely insane
Seeing stadiums back at full capacity has been a refreshing sign across the country. It’s even better when some of the nation’s most exciting venues are rocking again.
That’s the case in Blacksburg, as Virginia Tech opens its 2021 season against No. 10 North Carolina. One of college football’s most hostile environments was back at full strength.
It was apparent from the team’s entrance, when “Enter Sandman” blared over the loudspeaker and fans were cheering as loud as humanly possible. It’s one of the great traditions in college football, and it’s great to see it back at the forefront of the sport.

The combination of limited attendance one year ago, a primetime matchup and a lot of excitement for this year’s squad created an outstanding environment in Blacksburg.
It doesn’t really matter how many times we see stadiums at full capacity, moments like this will never get old.
