Whatever works: NFL WR coach seen using rugby ball in practice drill
We’re sure this has some sort of purpose.
New York Giants wide receivers coach Mike Groh was seen running drills with a rugby ball instead of a football on Wednesday. For reference, a rugby ball is lighter and larger than an NFL regulation football.
And who are we to judge? After all, the Giants are 5-1 on the year. They have to be doing something right.

For what it’s worth, Giants WR Sterling Shepard is a fan of the method from Groh. He was asked about it on Wednesday.

After that response and the Giants record, you have to respect the play here.
New York and former Penn State running back Saquon Barkley look to keep their hot streak alive this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
