It’s never a good thing when you lose 41-19 and enter conference play without a win.
Now, Arizona is looking for reinforcements — via mid-season walk-on tryouts.
The Wildcats put out an all-call Tuesday afternoon on their Twitter page for students interested in trying out for the team. Tryouts will take place Oct. 12 at 6 p.m. — right in the middle of the season.

That’s not a great sign.
Arizona is having a rough go this season, starting 0-4 and losing to No. 3 Oregon 41-19 last week. The Wildcats have another ranked conference opponent coming up this week in No. 20 UCLA, and Pac-12 play won’t get any easier. They were picked to finish last in the Pac-12 preseason poll, and haven’t proven they’ll finish much higher.
It could be a long season for Jedd Fisch’s program.
