Urban Meyer knows a thing or two about tight B1G races, and he took the time to analyze the conference’s best through Week 6.

It comes as no surprise that Meyer had Ohio State as the best team in the conference. The Buckeyes look like they are on a different level, entering their Week 7 bye with a perfect 6-0 record.

However, Wisconsin and Penn State are also currently undefeated with plenty to like for both teams. When asked which team he would have as second behind Ohio State, Meyer went with the team that has the best running back in the country:

“I’d probably put Wisconsin there just because of their dominant win over that team up north…I’m not just talking about their running back, because (Jonathan) Taylor’s the best there is in the country,” explained Meyer. “But their defense is playing elite.”

Despite his selection, Meyer did indicate he is still big on the Nittany Lions. He pointed out that they have been just a touch more inconsistent than the Badgers but still have plenty of skill to go around:

“Penn State has played very good on defense and they’re a little bit up-and-down on offense,” said Meyer, “But I really like their skill. They have excellent speed at receiver…(Sean) Clifford has done a very good job.”
