Week 7 had plenty of action throughout with Wisconsin and Penn State two of the top performers from the B1G.

For the Badgers, they welcomed Michigan State to Madison in what was expected to be a test for Wisconsin. However, the Spartans were never up to the task with Paul Chryst’s squad rolling to a 38-0 victory to remain undefeated.

For the Nittany Lions, they did encounter a tough test with a primetime visit to Kinnick Stadium. Fortunately, Penn State’s offense forced in a late touchdown while the defense shut down Iowa in a 17-12 slugfest.

While both wins were vital to remain undefeated, they also gave the two teams a big boost on ESPN’s Playoff Predictor. According to ESPN’s Seth Walder, Wisconsin’s win made the Badgers the biggest riser during Week 7 with an increase of 19% added to their odds to make the Playoff. Penn State added 4% to its odds.

Ohio State, who continues to be the top B1G team on the Predictor, actually slid a bit during a bye week. The Buckeyes lost 6% from their odds but continue to dwarf Penn State and Wisconsin overall.

Ohio State sits at a 68% percent chance to make the Playoff with Wisconsin second-best in the conference at 33%. Penn State is third at 22%.
