It’s the most important position in college football. And in the B1G, it’s the position that often decides a conference champion.

Quarterbacks are often the ones that receive the glory are catch the blame after each and every game. Fair or not, that’s just how it works in football.

On Monday, Yahoo Sports writer Pat Forde highlighted the quarterback position, ranking his 25 “most intriguing” gunslingers heading into the 2018 season. Four B1G quarterbacks made the list.

It’s not overly surprising that new Michigan quarterback Shea Patterson ranked towards the top of the list, coming in at No. 4. He was the most intriguing quarterback in the B1G heading into the season, according to Forde. Here’s what he had to say about the Ole Miss transfer:

The most important transfer in college football, having negotiated some contentious times after leaving Mississippi and gaining immediate eligibility in Ann Arbor. Now all he has to do is ignite the Wolverines’ anemic passing game, lead some of the big victories the program has been lacking in recent years and solidify Jim Harbaugh’s job status. No big deal.

Patterson does have a lot on his plate this season after stirring an extremely loud buzz in Ann Arbor following his decision to join the Wolverines.

Along with Patterson, Forde also had Trace McSorley (Penn State) at No. 6, Dwayne Haskins (Ohio State) at No. 11 and Alex Hornibrook (Wisconsin) at No. 16.

All four of those quarterbacks have high expectations entering the 2018 season. It will be fun to see how each handles the pressure.
