It’s a bad day to be DirecTV.

The NFL signed a deal with YouTube TV Thursday morning that will allow the streaming giant to exclusively distribute NFL Sunday Ticket. This is set to start in the United States in the 2023 season. It was previously available via DirecTV.

This is huge news for NFL fans, obviously. Pricing has yet to be announced, but it is known that it will be featured as an add-on to the service or as a standalone option on YouTube Primetime Channels.

YouTube TV paid the NFL roughly $2.5 billion for the rights to the service. NFL Sunday Ticket is the only way NFL fans can watch afternoon games outside of their normal markets. So, if you’re a fan of a team outside the city you live in, the service is essentially a must.
