2019 Illinois football preview show sets debut date
The 2019 college football season begins this week.
The Big Ten doesn’t start until Thursday, Aug. 29, but football is officially around the corner. For Illinois, its season begins on Aug. 31 at home against Akron.

Ahead of the Fighting Illini getting into real action, a 2019 Illinois football preview show is set to debut on Aug. 20 according to a release.
“The 2019 Fighting Illini Football Preview Show debuts Tuesday, Aug. 20, and will air on Fox Sports Midwest, Big Ten Network, NBC Sports Chicago, WCIA and WCIX several times leading up to the season opener vs. Akron Aug. 31,” the release states. “The first showing will be Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 5:30 pm CT on Fox Sports Midwest.”
After the debut on Aug. 20 on Fox Sports Midwest, the show will air on BTN at 5 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Aug. 21. The show is scheduled to run for 30 minutes and will air multiple times leading up to the start of Illinois’ season.
