Kanon Catchings, son of Fighting Illini great Tauja Catchings, visited Illinois Monday afternoon per 247 Sports’ Joey Wagner.

Catchings is currently an unrated prospect in the Class of 2024. His mother Tauja was a star for the Fighting Illini from 1997-2000 and ranks 1st in all-time games played, 2nd in steals and 3rd in rebounds.
Catchings’ sister and Kanon’s aunt Tamika was a legend for the University of Tennessee women’s basketball program, thriving under all-time great head coach Pat Summitt.
Kanon Catchings currently has one Division 1 offer from Matt Painter and Purdue. He stands a 6-foot-6, starring at Brownsburg High School as a small forward.
