After another loss last week, Illinois has decided to change quarterbacks for the fourth time in as many weeks.

For this week against Rutgers, it will be redshirt freshman Isaiah Williams starting at quarterback:

Williams takes the job from Coran Taylor, who played in most of the last couple of games. This will be his first career start for Illinois.

He played a bit in Illinois’s season opener, which ended up being a 45-7 loss to Wisconsin. He came in for Brandon Peters at times but struggled to pass as he only went 3/13 for 38 yards and two interceptions.

After that week, Matt Robinson started at quarterback against Purdue but got hurt early on and didn’t return. Taylor ended up finishing that game for Illinois.

If Williams is able to play well today, there’s a very good chance he’ll get the start next week as well.

Kickoff for this game against Rutgers is at 1 p.m. ET today and the game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
