Eifler finished the 2020 season with 27 tackles, including 3.5 stops for loss and a sack. He had a really strong season in 2019, when he piled up 63 tackles, 10 for loss and was credited with a fumble recovery for a touchdown and a pass break-up.
During his career at Illinois, Eifler collected 96 tackles with 13.5 tackles for loss, 3 sacks and 2 pass break-ups. He’s choosing to not return to Illinois next season, even though the NCAA has granted a blanket waiver for all fall student-athletes this year.
Also on Tuesday, offensive lineman Kendrick Green announced he would start training for the NFL Draft.
