Illinois is now riding a six-game winning streak, thanks to the efforts of Ayo Dosunmu own the stretch against Michigan on Saturday afternoon.

With the game knotted at 62-62 in the final seconds, Dosunmu stepped up with Zavier Simpson draped all over him and drained a game-winning bucket to give the Illini a 64-62 victory over Michigan. It marked the sixth-straight victory for Illinois, three of which have come on the road.

Dosunmu finished the game with 27 points, best of anyone on the floor. He also registered seven rebounds and two assists in the victory. Below is video of his game-winning  bucket.

That’s going down as one of the plays of the year for Illinois.

Behind Dosunmu’s performance, Illinois got great production from Andres Feliz off the bench, scoring 15 points and grabbing seven rebounds. Trent Frazier was the only other Illini player to get into double figures, scoring 10 points.

Illinois improved to 15-5 on the season with the win, and 7-2 in the B1G. The Illini are now sitting at No. 1 in the B1G, a half-game ahead of Michigan State.
