Ayo Dosunmu scores 30 points as Illinois cruises to win over Indiana
Illinois defeated Indiana 69-60 on Saturday afternoon thanks to an outstanding performance from junior guard Ayo Dosunmu.
The Illini star poured in 30 points in the victory, including 20 points after halftime. He was efficient, too, sinking 11-of-17 shots overall, 4-of-5 from beyond the arc and 4-of-4 from the free throw line.
Center Kofi Cockburn was the only other Illinois player who scored in double figures. He added 15 points and a game-high 15 rebounds. This was the third 15-15 game of his career, with the last one coming vs. Purdue back on Jan. 21, 2020.

For Indiana, the Hoosiers did all they could to hang around but didn’t score efficiently. Indiana shot just 39.7 percent from the field, and that included an excellent performance from Armaan Franklin. He scored 23 points on 12 shots and made 5-of-6 from 3-point range.
Trayce Jackson-Davis didn’t have a great day, scoring just 11 points on 13 shots.
Illinois is 7-3 on the season and remains on track to earn a high seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Illini are in action again on Jan. 2, 2021 against Purdue.
Indiana is now 5-4 overall and 0-2 in the Big Ten. The Hoosiers will look for their first conference win of the season on Wednesday against Penn State.
