The combination of a new coaching staff and an opportunity to see the Illinois football team in over a year has resulted in Illini fans gobbling up tickets for the 2021 spring game.

On Tuesday, Illinois announced it had sold out of its allotment of spring game tickets for next Monday’s Blue-Orange Game. Illinois initially sold out on Monday but was able to allow a few more fans into the gates before seeing all tickets accounted for by Tuesday morning.

Illinois is hosting its annual spring game on Monday, April 19 and the game will air on Big Ten Network. The game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. ET.

With Bret Bielema now in charge of the program, there’s a lot of hope that the Fighting Illini will be able to develop into a consistent program in the B1G. That was never really the case under previous head coach Lovie Smith.

Monday will allow fans to catch their first glimpse of the Fighting Illini under the new coaching staff.
