Brad Underwood talked about Illinois G Skyy Clark on Tuesday. Clark missed the Bethune-Cookman game on Dec. 29.

Clark signed with Illinois as a 4-star PG from the 2022 class per the 247Sports Composite. The Fighting Illini beat Bethune-Cookman 85-52 without Clark in the lineup.

Underwood stated that Clark could have played in Illinois’ last game if needed, but was left out of the rotation. Clark has been dealing with a shoulder injury as of late and will be wearing a brace on it much like Trent Frazier did last season.

When healthy Clark averages 7.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. Clark has played in 12 games for the Fighting Illini this season.

With the last non-conference game out of the way, Illinois will now only play B1G teams from here on out. Underwood’s team is sitting at 9-4 so far and are currently 12th in the conference standings with an 0-2 record against B1G teams.

Illinois kicks off 2023 with an away game against Northwestern on Wednesday. Tipoff will be at 9 p.m. ET on BTN.
