Illinois is off to another great start in the B1G basketball season. The Illini are 11-3 and 4-0 in conference play. The only losses for the Illini were on the road at Marquette by 1 point, a neutral site loss to Cincinnati, and at home to No. 8 Arizona.

On Monday, head coach Brad Underwood gave an update on PG Andre Curbelo. Unfortunately, it doesn’t sound like he will be back anytime soon.

It appears that Curbelo will probably not be playing this week due to some neck problems as the Illini gear up for a road game with Nebraska on Tuesday and a Friday night home game against Michigan.

Illinois looks poised to be another contender in the B1G all winter long as the Illini are currently in 2nd place and doing it without Curbelo. Watch for the Illini come March, especially if they get Curbelo back.
