Illinois has been on a slide since the season-opening win over Nebraska, and defensive lineman Keith Randolph has missed the last 2 games for the Illini.

Randolph was initially injured early in the Week 2 loss to UT San Antonio. Randolph had already registered a sack and a tackle for loss before leaving with what looked to be a right leg injury.

Fortunately, it looks like Randolph’s absence might be coming to an end in Week 4. During his mid-week radio show, head coach Bret Bielema there is a “pretty good chance” Randolph is good to go for the game against Purdue.

Randolph was off to a hot start before getting injured with 3 tackles, 2.5 TFL, 2 sacks, and a forced fumble. He still ranks third on the team in TFL and is tied for the team lead in sacks with Jer’Zhan Newton.

Getting Randolph back on the field would be a big boost for the defense.
